Avery Jo and her big sister Alexa

Who better to test out my new lens on than Alexa and Avery?

Have you ever seen a 5-week-old baby hold their head up this well?

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful...

She is so silly. She makes me smile every minute of the day.

Hi! I'm Jessica...wife, mom of three, engineer, and photographer wannabe. After having our first son in June of 2008, my obsession of taking pictures of him led me to buy a digital SLR in May of 2009. That combined with my love of kids kicked in a new hobby of photographing babies, children and families. The only problem was that I had no idea how to leave the “green box” (auto mode) on my DSLR. I've learned a lot since then but there are still so many settings on my camera and in photoshop that I haven't even touched yet.

It's all about capturing the little moments.

"Life is like a camera. Capture the good times. Develop from the negatives. And if it doesn't work out, just take another shot."
